Throwback Thursday, July 31, 2014

(Well I think it was the year 2003)...TLP was about to have one of the best days at work.  We knew that some of the American Le Mans Series cars that were going to race at Infineon Raceway (now Sonoma Raceway...formerly Sears Point Raceway) that weekend were going to do a parade lap around the State Capitol and then be on display.  Little did we know that an Audi R8 was going to make an appearance.  Lo and behold, as we were checking out one of Kevin Buckler's 911 GT racers, this magnificent beast was un-trailered.  And then it got better.  None other than J.J. Lehto was there to hang out with the car (this car was co-piloted by Johnny Herbert).  Lucky for us, we were probably the only people there who knew anything about JJ or his car, and he seemed more than happy to chew the fat for quite a while. It was a very good day!
